We really enjoyed our stay at San Bosco Inn. Not only did they have a swimming pool but we were able to use the hot springs at their sister hotel, Volcano Lodge. Fabulous breakfast. Lots of birds & butterflies attracted to the gardens :)

It was by far the best hotel we stayed at in Costa Rica. This brand-new place is incredibly cool and stylish. The decor was stunning, and everything was spotless. Having a kitchen in the room made us really happy, and having a private jacuzzi in the garden was amazing. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I absolutely, without a doubt, highly recommend it!

We liked it so much that we returned and stayed again! The bungalows are tucked away private so you feel as if you are completely alone, until you go to the restaurant for meals. Shout out to Juan Carlo for the amazing dinner service each evening at the Acacia restaurant! Not only did he remember our names but he had memorized our allergies, our food preferences and our drink preferences from day one! Eat at the restaurant, it’s the same price as in town but the quality is far far superior! The jacuzzi on the patios looking into the forests watching for sloths (yes there are sloths!!! Ekkk!) was pretty incredible! Overall it’s an amazing property and they do everything possible to ensure you are having a five star rainforest experience! You will not regret staying here.

    Hot spring pools were very enjoyable in the rain. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and soft. The room was pretty spacious. We tried both restaurants and preferred the one on the 5th floor as we liked the fish offer there and the ambiance. The pool bar and cocktails weee great, especially the margarita with salt and chilli peppers. The receptionist remembered our names and called us by name everytime when we needed something, which was a nice touch. Entire staff was very polite and friendly. The hotel is close to Arenal attractions

    Loved the room, the bathroom, all the details. The view from the room was great, as well as the springs, both inside the Hotel and at Club Río. Personal was kind and welcoming, an extra star for Jorge and Diego at the restaurants! I would say it was also pretty good in terms of accessibility. I truly recommend the Spa, Gabriela will make sure you to have the best experience. Breakfast was good and varied, they offer GF options including pancakes and toasts. I also liked having lunch at Tres Cascadas.

We were celebrating 1 year engaged and the staff were kind enough to let us check in early and use the installations if we wanted to, our room had a beautiful view and was decorated with balloons for our special occasion, the food was delicious and the service as well.     Everything! The grounds are stunning, well laid out, each cabin perfectly situated amongst flowers and plants that attract butterflies and hummingbirds, and each has a view of Arenal volcano. Beds are super comfy, great shower, beautiful toiletries, free bug repellent. THE HOT SPRINGS!!! The farm, getting to milk the cow for fresh milk! Honestly, this place is out of this world.

    The centre is not over touristified. A few good supermarkets. A good variety of food options, with some good Sodas. A lot of accommodation to choose from. Nice Central Park. Many activities to choose from, and easy to get transport to them if you don’t have a car. The Mundo 12 zip lines can’t be missed.

    Our trip was mostly rejuvenation, health and to access the volcano and hot springs. We went to Arenal park and hiked the trail to the Volcano. We saw a Capibara but most other wildlife is best viewed in the early morning. There were a lot of orchids in bloom along the trails. Going to EcoTermales Hotspring was the highlight. It's a gorgeous naturally constructed spa with layered pools, waterfalls all built with stacked granite rockery, bridges and pathways connect the pools, and there's plenty of seating, an open bar that serves the best mixed drinks. The restaurant served fresh healthy assortment of seafood and meats with veggie dishes with dessert at Lunch. The water was fed from the natural hotspring, which was circulated , refreshed constantly with fresh volcanic water. Attention to the holistic elements of nature were throughout.     We enjoyed the area and while we did a lot including driving...

    We enjoyed the area and while we did a lot including driving to Monteverde for zipline tour, we chose one day of pampering rather than adventure so did not hike around Arenal or paddle board on Arenal. We did white water rafting between Puerto Viejo and Fortuna. We did waterfall repelling near Fortuna (amazing). The people are friendly and the area is lovely. We enjoyed a night time nature tour with our hotel (Noah's Landing) and Nayara Gardens was amazing. We saw plenty of sloths but so much more! We went to the Mistico hanging bridges on a rainy day which worked well-it did not matter. We also visited the Fortuna Waterfall (500 steps down-then 500 steps up but worth it!) If you like adventure- there is plenty. If you want to relax-it is a beautiful place to do so.

    This is a great area to experience Costa Rica and the wildlife. We visited Mistico hanging bridges (great with a guide as located creatures we would not have); La Fortuna waterfall (no guide needed); Sky adventures (aerial tram, zip lines & trails); sloth guided tour; Arenal Observatory Lodge & Trails (day pass with lunch) - all of which we would recommend!
