We had an apartment with our own private outdoor hot tub, separated from the rest of the complex, so we could practically walk around naked. The apartment itself was very comfortable, with well equipped kitchen annex and outside dining area. We loved the idea of basket breakfasts, which allowed us to eat whenever and wherever we wanted. Oh, and the wine cellar with individual fully stocked wine coolers for each room: what a splendid idea! The manager is an absolutely friendly and helpful person, he drove us around the village showing all the points of interest, and reserved for us a wine tasting session at the local winery (highly recommendable!). Spacious, clean room, fresh breakfast which you can eat outside, accessible parking. The hosts were warm and wonderful people, there was also a very friendly dog. Perfect location - a direct connection with the castle park, a few steps from the restaurants. Lednice is so worth visiting. But the best part was the garden - enormous, well-kept, with frogs and birds singing, sitting spots (also protected from rain) and access to beer and wine if you wish to buy them in the evening :) so peaceful. Mikulov is a lovely little town close to Austrian border.
Mikulov is a lovely little town close to Austrian border. It is famous for its vineyards and wine tasting facilities. You should definitely walk up to the Mikulov castle and Sv Kopecek hill. Lednice is an easy place to get to. Hey have great accommodations throughout the city. So many things to see and do as within the area. We loved venturing out on our adventures to see other parts of the country. It is very a beautiful area! People are very accommodating and helpful. A small rustic town in wine-growing region of Moravia. Calm environment, nice for doing nothing or doing nothing while drinking large amounts of good wine. Fine area for bike trips or walking trips, beautiful Lednice area just 5km away, many wine cellars around... This was one of the best places we've ever stayed! The village looks like a fairy tale literally. The owner is very friendly. The room quality and furniture is beyond expectations-very clean, well equiped and modern, cozy athmosphere! We felt really welcome. Mikulov is an absolute gem - a magical town that feels...
Mikulov is an absolute gem - a magical town that feels almost transported from Tuscany, rising above the otherwise flat landscape. We stayed for 11 days and could easily have stayed another 2–3 weeks, with so much still left to explore. The food and local wines are wonderful (highly recommend the Palava Fizzante - crisp, semi-dry, and perfect for summer). The town itself enchants with Renaissance houses, the Jewish quarter, and the castle of the Dietrichstein family, while the surroundings offer endless discoveries: Valtice and Lednice palaces, Sv. Kopeček hill, lakes, bike routes, the Turold caves, castle ruins of Děvičky, and even Roman and prehistoric treasures like the Venus of Dolní Věstonice. Beautiful views, warm atmosphere, and countless amenities make this region truly unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back!Guest review byWojciechPoland
