We always stop overnight in Jaca whilst driving from Spain to the UK or visa versa as it is just off the motorway and has all the amenities you would need and is a lively, friendly place and the hotels are of a very high standard at a very good price.Guest review byTechno OrangeUnited Kingdom - 10.0

'Old' Ainsa is a relatively small but beautiful and interesting place. Our stay coincided with the end of their village festival, so there was plenty going on. On two nights we ate at a restaurant a couple doors down from the hotel, which specialised in pizzas but had many other options too - this was good, well-priced food, served very efficiently. We were based in Ainsa for quick access to the surrounding Pyrenees, and enjoyed two fabulous walks (Portal de la Cunarda and the Valle de Pineta). There's a large and cheap car park just outside the town walls (3 euros for 24hrs). There's also a very interesting bird of prey centre - museum and recovery centre - well worth a visit!Guest review byMikeUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I visited Benasque to compete in the Vuelta al Aneto trail race. The race started and ended in Benasque. Benasque is a great base for outdoor activities (hiking, trail running, mountain biking) with many shops providing gear and support for your adventures. My friends who visited with me are not into outdoor adventures, but enjoyed the beautiful town, restaurants and bars immensely.Guest review byAndrewAustralia - 10.0

Closest to the spectacular National Park of "Ordesa y Monte Perdido". This Park can compete with the best National Parks in the U.S.A. and China. Torla is a cute village and Broto with its cascade is close. You can also visit AINSA, one of the most beautiful villages of Spain and the Añisclo Canyon, with its microclimate and liquenes. Do not forget to visit also other glacier valleys in the area, outside the Park. The Park has a limit to the number of visitors per day and in the weekend the Guards of the Park may block the access if there are too many visitors.Guest review byPeterFrance - 10.0
Walked from the main road up to the castle.
Walked from the main road up to the castle. Quite a steep walk and would be hard work in the hot summer months. Couple of lovely little squares in the old town with a few bars and restaurants. The old streets are full of character.Guest review byJonUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Small village with a mountainous feel.
Small village with a mountainous feel. Easy to get around on foot. A river runs through it. Has some picturesque buildings and church. Ample free parking on the street, several bars and restaurants for the size of the village. Mainly frequented by visitors using it as a base for skiing, nature walks, cycling, etc. in the area.Guest review byDimitrios TsagdisFrance - 10.0
A pretty little town in the Pyrenees.
A pretty little town in the Pyrenees. Good local amenities, eg supermarket that stayed open late, little shops, bars, and restaurants although we mainly did our own cooking in our appartment. Immediate walking from Canfranc Estacion would be difficult as it's in a steep sided valley, but a short drive to Astun takes you to the base of chairlifts which whisk you up into the glorious mountains and access to hiking paths at the top- really lovely. Visitors might enjoy the sheep and mini horses with bells around their necks- quite a surreal sound!Guest review byMartinUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The weather in summer is nice, the view of mountains stunning. after we went for hiking on top of the mountain using the cable car which was an incredible hiking trips (we saw lakes on top of mountains and wild cows and horses), after we went down. we have taken a bath in the cold river next to the cable car station, it was very refreshing after a long hiking activity.Guest review byAdel 79Saudi Arabia - 10.0

A small mountain town liked by walkers/cyclists/motor cyclists. There is free parking and the town has a few bars and restaurants, remember it is a small town. The road to France passes and you can be in France in 30 minutes (the tunnel closes at night). There are many organised mountain walks and plenty of paths and tracks to walk yourself. The weather, the cool evenings away from the fierce summer heat of the coast. An open air swimming pool is available at a small price. The stunning mountain scenery, the local produce available. No the Spain of the tourist brochures, a welcome bit of peace and a change.Guest review bygerardIreland - 2.0
It was clean and spacious but it had no towels.
It was clean and spacious but it had no towels. You had to make up and change your own bed. It was student accommodation but not at student prices. It was also noisy and not really suitable for tourists. I would not recommend it.Guest review byAnthonyUnited Kingdom
