- From US$79.49 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 5.0Passable - What previous guests thought, 777 reviewsThis hotel is pet friendly. The room was exactly as I expected. The hotel is very conveniently located and the room has everything you need. For those who need a break from the daily grind, this is the perfect place. Please note that there is no lift and they don't serve breakfast in the hotel. Many leave negative reviews, but I do not agree with them. If you need to have employees fussing around you, then book other more expensive hotels, but if you need peace, unobtrusive service and a kind attitude towards your pet, this is the place for you. I will continue to stop here further, for me it is an ideal choice.Guest review byKeiraIreland
- From US$168.41 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 168 reviewsCastle Mill is an original B&B with an authentic setting and, to our surprise, a modern and tastefully decorated interior. The beds are very comfortable and contribute to a good night's sleep. The breakfast included in the price is fresh and healthy. The beautiful garden fits perfectly into this extremely beautiful region of Surrey. For us it was a perfect starting point to visit Hampstead Palace and Windsor Castle. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, including the pub right next door. Rick and Peta are very pleasant and interesting hosts!Guest review byRinaBelgium

Rooms are lovely either quirky features. Everything was really clean. I will certainly be booking next time I'm working in the area.Guest review bySamanthaUnited Kingdom
- From US$174.60 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 775 reviewsSuper nice people — it’s not our first time here, and we absolutely love it. The breakfast is amazing. Cookies, cocoa, and milk are available anytime. The nature around is beautiful — simply fantastic. Maybe the view from our room this time wasn’t quite what we expected, but we’re still really happy here. Feels truly English. We’ll definitely be back!Guest review byAllaGermany

Big desk with comfortable chair and a big friendly anglepoise - how often do you get a quality workspace in a hotel? I was really happy. I was in room on my own with my to do list - not a romantic weekend.Guest review byAlisonUnited Kingdom

Accommodation was within an easy walk of Hindhead and the Devils punch bowl which is a must visit. Not much else there thou. Grayshott is within walking distance and has a nice pub called Fox and Pelican, we had a Sunday roast there and it was one of the best!Guest review byAdam - 10.0
Haslemere and surrounds is a lovely area.
Haslemere and surrounds is a lovely area. There are many small shops, eateries, a few charity shops, and a couple of supermarkets within walking distance from the Harper's, and the people are friendly. Also handy to train (directly across the road), for exploring further afield. A recommendation would be to also take the train to Portsmouth and enjoy a hovercraft ride across the solent to Ryde, and explore the Isle of White by opentop buses. As mentioned in my review of Harper's, it cost GBP92 return for 2 people (train and hovercraft combined). Opentop and other buses payable separately on the island. In previous years (2018) we also went to the hovercraft museum (only open Saturdays as far as I recall). Another place worthwhile visiting, particularly if on a budget, is the maritime museum at Portsmouth, as there is a lot to see at no cost. The Swan Inn in Haslemere (pictured) is also a good and fairly priced place to dine.Guest review byBradAustralia - 8.0

This was convenient for an overnight stay in the area at an attractive price. We were only looking for a bed for the night and this fitted th bill perfectly. The building is overdue a refurb as the were many plastic containers lying around to catch rainwater leaks (There is a lot of rain at the moment to make matters worse!). Staff were friendly and helpful. A good breakfast in the morning was helpful. This location would be stunning during the summer months and give a good base for exploring the area.Guest review byAnt4paiglesUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We travelled there purely to meet up with Family who live in the area. Surrey is still a beautiful rural County in many parts. Driving off the Motorways through pretty leafy lanes enjoying the Architecture of its Villages is always a pleasure.Guest review byJoanUnited Kingdom - 8.0

we had stayed at the hotel previously and enjoyed it so decided to return to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The only grips was that the window view I paid for was limited and to make the most of it we need to move furniture and the window wouldn’t stay open. It was a very hot day but much cooler night and if we could’ve opened the window we would’ve had a much better night sleep. We were provided with a fan in the room that was far too noisy and made a little difference to the ambient temperature. Small but significant observations.Guest review byMilesUnited Kingdom
