Clean, extremely beautiful hotel and surroundings just wonderful right at beach and the seaside in Skala, Agistri where the sea is crystal clear. We really love the friendly atmosphere in Aktaion Botique hotel and not to forget theyr’e cute dog Luna and the Parrots Coco and Dodo who are also providing for a family friendly athmosphere. The view of Athens from the rooftop restaurant, bar and pool are absolutelly amazing and it makes the hole experience of the city so much better. I really liked that the room was cleaned every day and toiletries and free minibar were restocked every day as well. Athens is a very busy city which is quite overwhelming at first but the people are really friendly and the public transport is very accessible. The central sites are easy to reach on food and for those a little further out the metro system is easy to use. You can buy tickets for all of the sites in advance which means you don't need to queue. the Acropolis and the Agora are fantastic and we also visited the Archeological museum which was reached by metro, this was a fabulous museum. The property was spotless.
The property was spotless. The ower was suportive and offered the transfer to the international airport because there was taxi industrial action at the time. The appartment was very close to the sandy beach. And you may find a very nice bakery round the corner and many shops. This is a beautiful island. The sea is warm and inviting. The beaches, although there is some sand, are very stony, and beach shoes are recommended. We went on a boat trip to navigate the island, taking a route that circled the entire island. It was a small boat and we were driving it ourselves. The day was slightly windy, and the sea we didn't realise was quite rough once you moved away from the beach. We only lasted one hour of the four-hour trip booked. It would have been better to have been warned that the sea would be rough, as we would have chosen another day for our trip. There are many boats, including sailing, charter, and private vessels, visiting Poros, making the port very busy. The boats were fascinating to watch. There are numerous excellent tavernas, and they are not expensive. They serve a variety of local dishes, including fresh seafood and traditional Greek cuisine. The boat transfer from Athens takes only one hour, and the ferry operator is very prompt. I recommend a visit to Poros.Guest review bySandraUnited Kingdom - 10.0

a lovely quiet little villiabge, hugging the coastline with spectacular sunsets and beaches. Plenty of options for food and refreshments, and some shops for holiday essentials. Easy drive to the end of the island (Only really one road) to beautiful beaches with beach bars and loungers and easy parking. We stayed in the very comfortable harbor area of Aegina Town. Just a 40-minute ferry from Athens' Pireaus port. Ancient sites to visit. Lots of harbor restaurants for beverages and dining. A relaxing way to settle in from international travel before our extended tour of Athens and the Peloponnese tour. My father was born here so my 1st cousins live here. I brought my husband and sons here to introduce them. I loved my stay here meeting up with them again and revisiting all the places I’d been to before and seeing how much things had changed. The beach is the longest sandy beach on Aegina which is predominately lovely sand there are some mixed stones and sand at the far but nothing to bad. The water is shallow and mainly calm wit a big sand bar a few meters out I would say very safe for children The sunbed range in quality and price ranging from 20 euros a set with parasol to 12 euros which obviously also is based on location and convenience to the beach bars and taverna's.
