The hotel is beautiful and quiet, with most of the rooms having sea view. The Spa area has breathtaking views over Naples and the Vesuvius and includes several heated and ambient temperature swimming pools, a jacuzzi, sauna and Kneipp trail. The access to the Spa area was free of charge. The private beach is large, with sunbeds and umbrellas, all free of charge. Sandy areas alternate with those with pebbles, so aqua shoes might be a good idea. Breakfast was very good, with a great variety of food and drinks. Coffee was served a la carte and it was really good. The staff was kind and welcoming, we really appreciated the service. Rooms were spacious and bright. They were cleaned every day, our towels were changed, toiletries supplies were refilled. We had the perfect holiday, with excellent service, great location and amazing views! The staff were all friendly, and even those who did not speak English well did their best to help us, which was very touching and helpful to us. A particularly memorable moment was when we first entered our room and found a chilled bottle of sparkling wine, prepared in recognition of our honeymoon. We made such wonderful memories at this place and frequently share stories and photos of our Italian honeymoon with friends. This is a bit of an uphill walk from the train with luggage, so I suggest a taxi on the way up. It is pretty easy getting down to the train by foot with roller bags. It is in a small secluded area but a 20 minute walk (up steps but manageable) brings you to the lovely town of Vico Equense. There is also a shuttle bus almost every hour up to the train station. From the train it was v easy to get to Pompeii or Sorrento. (Using the local Circumvesuviana train route). It is also handy for trips to Capri or along Amalfi coast. Vico Equense is a charming little town between Naples and Sorrento. It takes 20 minutes to get to Sorrento by train, from where you can easily reach Positano, Amalfi or Capri by ferry, and in an hour you can be in the centre of Naples by train. This area is a perfect base for visiting the Amalfi Coast. The bus takes you to Sorrento one way and Positano the other, but can get full up quickly. However there are taxis around if you prefer. Divine. The loc was fabulous and will always recommend this location to people. The mountain, the hills, the smell, the city had nice restaurants, and the dinner was delicious and pretty places to take pictures. Train from Sorrento to Naples to Amalfi Coast was astonishing. Piano di Sorrento is a quiet town which is what we liked.
Piano di Sorrento is a quiet town which is what we liked. But it had everything we wanted - easy to get to the train station, lots of shops within walking distance and several restaurants nearby. There was a nice park, a marina and it was possible to get boat trips from there instead of travelling into Sorrento which was much busier. Our favourite restaurant, which was only 5 minutes from where we stayed, was Gusto - nice staff, serving fabulous meat and other dishes. Amazing place to stay with your family or friends. We enjoyed every moment in the villa. Perfect location to visit Sorrento and Amalfi coast. Well equipped kitchen and outdoor grill allows to enjoy lovely dinners in the terrace with the sea view. Moreover, pool and lemon tree garden allows you to cool down from the heat. Would definitely stay in Sorrento again. Highly recommended. It is central to everything: 10-12’ minute walk to ferries for Positano, Amalfi and Capri. 12-15’ walk to train for Pompeii.
