Mister Youssuf and the staff in both reception, breakfast room and restaurant was nice, friendly and service minded and made our stay very comfortable. The location was perfect and safe - and had very nice terraces. The breakfast was also very good with different fruits and specialties every day. The room was cosy and the bed very good. I had a fantastic stay at Sungo Club! 🌟 The place is beautiful and welcoming, with an atmosphere that truly lets you relax and enjoy your holiday. The food was excellent with plenty of variety, especially at dinner where we could choose between three different restaurants. A big thanks to Lotfi at the bar – always friendly, professional, and with a great talent for creating a good vibe. His drinks are as excellent as his service🍹 I also want to highlight Khadija from housekeeping, who did an outstanding job. My room was always spotless, fresh, and inviting – small details that really make a difference. 🧹✨ All in all, I can warmly recommend Sungo Club to anyone looking for top service, a great atmosphere, and an unforgettable holiday experience. Best most kind and helpful staff. I had a wonderful spa treatment from Salima who was very good both the Hamam and massage were exeptional! We came out of season so there weren't very many people and many of the slides were turned off. But at our request they would turn them on and we had the whole park at our disposal. Really good Moroccan food at every meal and also all kinds of other food so the children also had plenty to choose from. Rooms clean and daily cleaning was done. We weren't in need of anything. All in all we had an amazing trip

Breakfast is definitely fit for a King! Moroccan dinner was exquisite! It is a special characterful place for scouring the souks, seeing the amazing colours af clothes and spices, however there are now too many motorcycles that dangerously weave around the tourists. This is very different to the coastal town of Essoauria, which is very pleasant to walk, especially the wonderful promenade and beach.

Ourika is breath taking. The restaurants with the river flowing is amazing. The kids loved splashing in the river. The waterfall is well worth exploring. The local residents are very welcoming and friendly. I definitely want to visit Ourika again!

Peaceful , amazing scenery , excellent food, delightful staff , lovely authentic hotel . If you need to escape from busy working life it’s a perfect place to go to recharge. We will be back for sure. Combines v well with a few days in Marrakech and a few days on the coast.

Its an authentic experience if you stay in Old Town.

Its an authentic experience if you stay in Old Town. It is however, full on, with noise, fumes, cats, people, cars and motorbikes all moving through narrow lanes in both directions. You really need your wits about you. Lots to see but 3 days is enough. You can of course go outside the city and do trips, but we stayed in location to experience souks, people, culture etc. The New Town is really suave and totally different. You would nearly head that direction for a breather. While it is beautiful, The New Town is like any big city you might visit. Old Town best I think but as I say, prepare to be mesmerised!

On arrival we checked in they told us they would let us know if the room was ready! We waited two hours ordering two lattes in the meantime that definitely weren't lattes more like sugary coffee water with no milk we then went to check an they took us down there was no sun lounges on the cabin we booked which is advertised in the photos there was building work going on in the cabin behind us so we asked to get some loungers brought down so we had something to enjoy the sun in! Considering we paid £200 we waited maybe an hour before anyone came down there was cigarette butts around the pool that we had been checked into on our private room neither me nor my partner smoke so was dissapointed as we hate this. They then came down an told us to move cabin so we moved to the one in front hurrying to get our stuff back in suitcase and down to the second room forgetting some of our belongings we then go back to check if we left there an gone (someone had collected them an not informed us even though they literally moved us in the 10minute period so took some of our belongings to reception without telling us). Our new cabins half the decking had collapsed and fallen through and been covered up with a rug 3 floor boards we're sticking in the air that I tripped and hurt my ankle on. The new cabin had a bath with no bath Matt and no bath plug so it was a weird bath with a hand held shower which is difficult to wash in! We didn't really understand. The next day we had hairs in our food that we ordered I informed staff an they replaced the food I noticed another hair in the second food an couldn't be asked to complain again also the tea in the morning tasted like it had salt in! Either they didn't like us or the attention to detail really isn't there. Loooks great on Instagram an update at the view but the detail is missing things and the health an safety!

If you are looking to escape the busyness of Marrakech, Ourika is the place to be. However, I would not suggest going there during summer, it's not that hot however, the tourism isn't as booming as it could probably be during the spring / autumn. Amazing food, amazing people!

It is small village now dedicated to tourism, there are nice roads leading to the Atlas and if you are interested in general tourism is close to Marrakech where you can ride a camel, and do other activities in the dessert.
