Great things to do in Wellington.
Great things to do in Wellington. Te Papa has fabulous exhibitions to browse, Zealandia is wonderful, relaxing and healing. The uniqueness of so many of the shops is great so a wander through quirky Cuba Street, and Thorndon shops is a tonic. And as for all the fabulous coffee and cafes, including along the waterfront- Karaka Cafe a must, along with Eva just downstairs, truly spoilt for choice. Breakfast, lunch and dinner choices overwhelming. The Lab, Fidels pop up, Floriditas, Highwater the list goes in. We loved Rotorua, there are so many cool things to do solo...
We loved Rotorua, there are so many cool things to do solo or with a family. The National kiwi hatchery was wonderful and the kids favourite, we also loved the forest sky walk and glow worm tunnel, and the buried village. Top place to eat - the Fainting Goat pub in town, favourite place for Dad was Hobiton, favorite pick by mum The Secret Spot hot tubs (I recommend you leave the kids at home with dad and enjoy this place solo). Taupo is much better visited outside of the busy periods (school holidays). When there's less traffic and you can get around without issue and finding a carpark is more likely. So much to see and do and many amazing restaurants. It has many Art Deco buildings which makes it an interesting city. The area around the sound shell is beautifully landscaped.
