Location is good for those who came Stockholm first time, just next to the metro station. Old and historical building, so mesmerizing.     I’m a retired Canadian at Grinda with my older brother after earlier stays in Copenhagen and Stockholm. Grinda was the favorite part of our entire month long trip amd we hope to be back. Loved the ferry ride from Stockholm to Grinda, Grinda’s natural setting, our comfortable room, the walking trails around the island, open water swimming, the multiple restaurants and food services, the breakfast buffet, sitting out on the deck in the evening with a fresh breeze blowing in off the Baltic. The overall vibe was magnificent and the exact counterpoint we sought after crowds in more touristy areas. The staff at Grinda were fantastic, especially Thea on the front desk…so friendly, cheerful, welcoming, and helpful in addressing our many questions. She went above and beyond on all our interactions with her and will leave us with lasting happy memories.

    Beautiful location with lots of activities - mini golf, alpaca feeding, walking trails etc. Nice for grown ups, though it is very popular with families. Very good breakfast and the on-site restaurant for dinner was good, but not outstanding for the price. Beautifully stylish interiors and overall a relaxing place to stay. Easy to get there without a car (bus stop to Stockholm Slussen outside) and easy to travel to surrounding towns by bus too.

    Vasa and Vrak Museums ( combined ticket ) were superb. Metro and Bus system expansive and with options for 24, 48 and 72 hour passes it was very easy to "explore " lesser known attractions or just districts . Very safe and clean.

    Prefer arriving in Arlanda compared to other airports close to Stockholm as it's easy access into Stockholm. However on our arrival the tracks were down making it impossible to take either the train or Arlanda express - fortunately we had arranged stay in local hotel but pity anyone who wasn't in the same position.

    A quiet and safe city with a lot of immigrants. Nice city center with a promenade along the sea that looks like a river. Beautiful surroundings with lakes. I was impressed by "Torekällberget", which is not promoted anywhere, but is better than "Skansen" (which is too expensive). Good public transport network.

    It's a bit like being in the suburbs, but it is still easy to get about as the bus leaves from outstide the hotel it is only about 10 mins or so to get to Upplands-Väsby train station. I took a train from there to get to Stockholm city centre (getting off at Stockholm City). The travel ticket allows you 75 mins of travel time so the bus ticket and be used again (including on the train for 75 mins). Note: Stockholm city is literally a couple of mins walk to another station in the city centre called Stockholm Centrum (Stockholm Central Station). So, folk coming in on other train networks would get off there).

    Lovely location with a jetty and diving platform on the archipelago. Great buffet breakfasts and dinners with a lovely terrace with a sea view. Near to public transport links to centre of Stockholm. Good bus 211 to bathing beach as well as Ropsten for travel in to stockholm. If you get a week travel pass it can be used on bus train, tram and some ferries. The 80 ferry takes you on scenic route to centre of Stockholm attractions and goes from Ropsten.

    Stayed in area just outside Taby- Arnigan- safe area, with great access to local woods/ walks around the lakes. Transport system is fantastic- easy journey into Stockholm. Shopping centre was also better than expected, with a good range of food options. This can be a very good option if prices are high in Stockholm.

    Unfortunately i came back completely bitten by fleas or bed bugs, the doctors must define it yet. never in my life i had anything similar. I booked a spa hotel but the spa was completely under construction (till May 2026 at least). We were however charged the full spa price and have no compensation yet - only Barbara, the head of the reception team tried to save the situation with some dinner invitations. No answer from Booking and no answer from the hotel management yet. the rooms were small and not properly cleaned every day. No wardrobes or storage for your clothes. i really expected a much higher level for over 3200 Euros for 2 rooms for a week. Especially - i you do not offer SPA than do not sell a spa resport hotel!

    We loved swimming in the sea.

    We loved swimming in the sea. A bit cold (19C) doesn't matter as you can warm up in the the lovely saunas and the warm pool. It's got an awesome Stockholm archipelago feeling and view, and even a family of merganser birds (skrake). We loved the gym and the restaurant was nice. Great breakfast too!
