Everything about Hillsnek was outstanding. It was my very first time on a game drive ever so I didn’t know what to expect. The pictures on Booking were beautiful already but let me tell you - you will be absolutely blown away when you get there. We‘ve parked the car rather close to the entry thinking we’d just arrived at the Camp but that’s just when we met Nikki, our guide for the whole trip that picked us up and drove us to the actual campsite. We were greeted with delicious cookies and a welcome drink, getting to know everything and brought to our tent afterwards. You’d think you’ll get a full glamping experience but that was far beyond everything we’ve ever experienced. The bathroom and bed were huge, everything was spotless, no bugs in our tent at any point and the outdoor shower was just the cherry on the cake. The food was outstanding; everything was displayed so beautifully and every meal was delicious. You’ll never go to bed even remotely hungry. The service was excellent in any way. We always felt so welcome and highly appreciated all the efforts everyone made - everything was so personal without it ever being too much, everyone was so lovely all the time (even though wake up times are sometimes reallyyy early but you could never tell) and you just felt like home (but even better). The game drives were outstanding as well. The amount of things we’ve learned thanks to Nikki are priceless and besides the Leopard we were able to cross of the big five right away even though the area is enormous! We’ve stayed four days and didn’t even cover a third of the whole park. The vegetation changes so much throughout the drives and you’re just sitting there in absolute awe. My personal highlight was the close encounter with the elephants at the poolside. I’ll never forget the time at Hillsnek and can highly recommend it to everyone!

Thanks to the whole team! James, thank you for these unforgettable morning and afternoon rides. You immediately felt that he was a very experienced and funny ranger! Keep it up! We were able to see four of the big five. The lodge is very luxurious. Please remember that you live in the "bush" and you can sometimes encounter insects and other creatures while showering under the open sky. :-) But that's exactly what makes it so special! The entire experience was phenominal. The amazing staff, the welcome, the foof, the luxury rented, and of course, the 2 game drives were incredible, with us seeing so many animals, despite the rain. We were mostly dry on the trucks, and there was a lovely fire to warm us up on our return. A fantastic family experience that we will never forget. Thanks to our fantastic guide, Roxy!

The beautiful room and proximity to nature. The whole site is stunning. Food was very good - room mini bar very generous. We loved the private plunge pool to cool off and the choice of bath or outside shower. The guides are very knowledgeable but the drives are at different times from other places we’ve stayed - afternoon departs at 3 pm so ensure you’re there in plenty of time.

This was an amazing experience. We went on 2 games drives a day and each time we saw new scenes! Not only the big 5 but all the other animals going about their business (buck, jackals, meerkats, zebras). Our safari guide (Abby) was very knowledgeable and also very entertaining. The room was spacious, the lodge was cosy and the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful.

Everything was just perfect. The rooms. The Service. The food. The safaris with Nel. So interesting to learn about nature and animals. She she did the safari with so much passion, professionalism and so much fun. Exceptional. We had the best time ever. We stayed for two nights but it felt like a week. Nothing to add. If any chance we would love to come back anytime.

The accommodation , safari , staff and food was outstanding . The vista from the infinity pool towards the water hole and safari back drop was breath taking . Our guide/ranger Abel was so knowledgeable

Everything was great; from the service of the lodge staff to the game drive tour guides. Cannot find fault with anything.
