Just 250 metres from Zenko-ji Temple, Matsuya Ryokan offers simple Japanese rooms with tatami-mat floors, a green-tea maker and an attached Western bathroom. The hotel features public baths. Its so nice and clean. All the ryokan style logding one could hope for. Excellent.

Nunoya Ryokan is in a beautiful old japanese house - with a great atmosphere and very friendly staff and a lovely small lounge, in a typical Matsumoto street. We had a beautiful tatami room and slept on futons, it was quiet and comfortable, and breakfast was very good, with choices for lovers of japanese or western breakfast. Loved it.

We especially enjoyed the bath as well as the common room. Our little girl was so happy about the train set available for play. The breakfast was delicious and our only regret was not booking dinner. The bed was the most comfortable we had during our whole stay. Thank you so much and we hope to visit again!

Hands down the best hospitality we have ever experienced. Maki is the most gracious of any host we have ever had. Excellent food (lots of it). This accommodation is worth planning an entire trip around. 2 private onsens. A massage chair. It was our first time with a traditional Japanese futon and we were surprised how comfortable sleeping was. Beautiful scenery and the most hospitable hosts (Maki, her mom the chef and Kenta the house pup) Thank you for an unforgettable stay! We can’t wait to come back again someday.

We felt very welcomed. The space is amazing and private. The onsens are amazing ( inside and outside onsen) and overlook a waterfall. The food was fantastic . We would recommend this place as a great experience

We loved everything about our stay: the staff was super friendly and helpful, we had an amazing view from our room (forest and river!), breakfast and dinner was also very tasty. The onsen was on a smaller side but lovely - it was so nice to soak in warm open air bath after hiking for the whole day.

Terletak di Takayama, 12km dari Zoo Suzaka, Ryokan Warabino menawarkan penginapan dengan taman, tempat parking peribadi percuma dan restoran. Warabino team was simply amazing. Everyone is very kind, gentle and proactive. They gave us a ride to and from the train station. That's an important point considering the distance from downtown. We had both meals, breakfast and dinner, with them. All we tasted was fantastic. The possibility to turn the public bath into a private Onsen when there isn't someone using it, it's another differential. The futons was soft and we had a good night sleeping. The heating in our room was the right way too. Surely we'll come back.

This is a traditional ryokan and therefore it’s important to assess it on its own terms. It’s not a luxury hotel, but it is a lovely place to stay. The staff were wonderful, our room was huge and comfortable, the onsen was beautiful and the food was outstanding. I loved the traditional yukata and samue they provided, and the beauty products in the onsen were great. The location is very good- an agricultural town with fields surrounded by mountains- but it is next to a road so it’s not the most scenic. That said, it is very close to an amazing shrine that is one of the most beautiful holy places I have ever experienced.

Berg Marukaneya is located in Nozawa Onsen, 2 km from Lake Hokuryuko. The ryokan is a 3-minute walk from the nearest ski field and has a ski pass sales point. Guests can enjoy a meal at the... Amazing time staying at this lovely hotel. They couldn’t have been more accommodating with changes or kinder when we visited.
