Nestled in a gorgeous, ancient temple complex, the grounds are extremely fun to hike/explore during the day, with plenty of opportunities to learn about the history of the place through thoughtful signage and the wonderful staff. The food was absolutely delicious - we were eating a feast of unique foods specially prepared for us every evening and morning, which made the experience epic. Okami-san and everyone else here gregariously welcomed us with cups of beautiful matcha, and even shuttled us to and from Yasugi station and to the Adachi Museum of Art. I will never forget this place!

Το Nipponia Izumo Hirata Cotton Road βρίσκεται σε Izumo, σε απόσταση 800μ από το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Atagoyama Park και παρέχει κλιματιζόμενα δωμάτια και κήπο. Having been to Izumo before and knowing it would not disappoint, I decided to take my family for another vacation in January. We stayed at Nipponia Izumo - Hirata Cotton Road for three nights. It is a former traditional sake brewery house converted into a kominka style hotel. Situated on a quiet historical sake and soy sauce business street, the hotel not only provided a unique home sweet home service but also amazing fine dining experience. Their in-house chef made each meal using local products to create feasts that delighted the senses. I highly recommend this hidden gem of an accommodation if you do visit Izumo.

This was our fourth trip to Japan and we've stayed in many ryokans. This is one of our favorites. The space we stayed at was huge. It was a two-story stand alone building. The seats looked out onto the courtyard with a pond and a lot of trees, which was very peaceful. I'm usually not the type to stay in my hotel/ryokan all day, but this place tempted me to do so due to the serenity of the courtyard. There were two private onsen that were easy to access due to the small number of guests that stay here. The food was fabulous. While walking around one morning I found a hiking trail that led up to castle ruins. The next morning I hiked up to the ruins and down the other side and came out near the Moss Land.

The staff were very helpful and pleasant, the food was among the best food we had on our entire japan trip. We traveled with one vegetarian and they were able to make great vegetarian food as well which we really appreciated! The inn was cozy and well managed and we had everything we needed. The location by the river and so close to Matsue Castle was also amazing. We can recommend this inn and Matsue city to everyone interested in seeing a different japan!

Ryokan Koyokan Is a rare find set in an amazing forest location alongside the Kiyomizu-dera temple. We loved the absolute peace and quiet after a few hectic days in some of Japan’s big cities. The Ryokan is run by three generations of the same family, with the first member of the fourth generation a recent addition. Food is an amazing combination of mainly vegetarian dishes with some fish. Nearest railway station is at Yasugi from where you can get a taxi. We opted though to hire a car at Matsue Station for the half hour drive, this also meant easy travel to the nearby Adachi Museum of Art. Definitely recommend Koyokan for a relaxing experience in an amazing location.

Το Hoshi Ryokan προσφέρει δωμάτια με κλιματισμό και κοινόχρηστο μπάνιο σε Tsuwano, σε απόσταση 1,2 χλμ και 1,9 χλμ από τα σημεία ενδιαφέροντος Βωμός Taikodani Inari και Tsuwano Joushi, αντίστοιχα. We had a wonderfull time in Hoshi Ryokan!!! We had a very friendly welcome and even got picked up at the station although it is just 2 minutes to walk. Everything was clean and we had a very nice and big japanese room. The food was delicious and our special wishes (no fish 🤣) were fullfilled. Everybody here was so friendly!!!Thank you so much!!!!!

Το Saginoyusou απέχει 24 χλμ από το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Λίμνη Shinji σε Yasugi. Προσφέρει καταλύματα 4 αστέρων και έχει κήπο. My first 10 rating. Our room was fantastic, with a large sitting area, separate sleeping area with comfortable beds and private outdoor onsen. Staff were uniformly friendly, helpful and polite. Our meals were excellent and very filling. Each large window in our room looked out on different areas of an impeccably designed garden. We are already planning our next visit.
