Our stay at Pension Drei Elstern was the highlight of our trip to the Harz area. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful. The staff was attentive, efficient, and friendly. The location is only a short walk from the Harz Railway station at Schierke. The hotel is quiet, and is only a few steps away from several local restaurants. Hiking in the area is very good. In short, we'd like to stay again one day.

The apartment is located in a nice and quiet neighborhood, a short distance from both the castle and the beautiful city center. The apartment is so beautifully and cozy renovated while the owners have preserved key parts of the house's history and soul, including the old doors and the gorgeus entrance. The beds, sofa, bathtub and adorable terrace were among all the parts we loved about this place. We would definitely recommend it.

We had the top floor apartment which had a beautiful view of the castle. Easy walking distance from train station. Friendly and welcoming host who accomodated our unplanned late arrival. It was hot during our stay but a fan was provided to help keep cool.
