Just 250 metres from Zenko-ji Temple, Matsuya Ryokan offers simple Japanese rooms with tatami-mat floors, a green-tea maker and an attached Western bathroom. The hotel features public baths. If I could give 100 stars to this ryokan, I would do it! It was absolutely stunning experience in Nagano, the whole family and staff are extremely friendly, kind and polite. They receive lots of international travelers and they understand tourists needs. You MUST book dinners and breakfasts with them! It was amazing experience! On a practical note: rooms were authentic, hot water, heater were reliable. Location is superb, close to the temple and delicious snacks. This place is ideal for alternative travelers interested in local tradition and with the appreciation for culture and history: I wish the owners only the best customers!

I’ll write this in English such that everyone could possibly get my opinion. This place is surprisingly good, it has a great location Goryu Escal plaza within walkable distance (appr. 6mins). And Goryu is the only one resort which has the night operation hours, so take advantage of that. Plenty of food options near the lodge. I was traveling alone and I had my good dining every night, get some local foods and beers what a great combination! Speaking of combo, this place has two Onsen (Hot tub) one private with little of extra charge and one public. It’s just a wonderful thing to do after days and days of skiing or snowboarding. For those who didn’t drive you should be fine as said this place has great location so you will be able to get back in multiple ways. Akira, the owner of this lodge and a skater from Tokyo, was being super helpful and informative to every of his guests, his crew members were very friendly it’s just a home place to stay at. They pick you up and drop you off at the nearest bus/train stop. They provide traffic information, map handouts, and discount tickets. Thanks to this place gave me the most impressive experience during my first visit in Japan. Arigato！

Terletak dalam 21km dari Taman Ski Ryuoo dan 32km dari Taman Jigokudani Monkey, Snow Palace Nozawa mempunyai bilik di Nozawa. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Venue feels brand new and very clean. Location is close to town, shops, restaurants and the slopes.

Terletak di Hakuba, 16km dari Kawasan Ski Tsugaike Kogen, 白馬の黒馬 DarkHorse @Hakuba mempunyai penginapan dengan taman, tempat parking peribadi percuma, lounge berkongsi dan bar. Satisfied with the dormitory capsule size. Staffs are always friendly and helpful. Pick up service was good, reliable and flexible. Although shared bathroom, it is not quite busy. And shower, toilet and sinks are separate, which is good. Vibe is nice, people lives in the same hostel will always gather around the fireplace and share their day or their culture.

Terletak 20km dari Honmachi Machiyakan, Compass Duo mempunyai penginapan dengan WiFi percuma dan tempat parking peribadi percuma. The apartment was about 10-15 minutes drive from the train station, ski resort and shopping areas so I would recommend that you drive. Check-in was easy using a door code. The apartment was well maintained, clean and tidy. The hosts were very responsive. The kitchen was well-equipped and we were cooking our meals most of the time. The rooms were comfortable. We drove to the ski resort everyday which worked well for us.
