Set at 1500 metres above the sea level and on the trail of Tatranska Magistrala in the Mengusovska Valley in the High Tatras, this hotel is a 60-minute hike from Strbske Pleso. Location was incredible, restaurant and breakfast excellent. Enjoyed the wellness centre.

Just 300 metres from the Jakubova lúka Ski Centre, this apartment house can be found 1 km from the centre of Starý Smokovec. Was even better, than I expected. The photos of the room do not show full picture. The room had everything we needed: cosy dining area, equiped with kitchenette, big bathroom, comfy beds. And most important for us - they allow dogs!

Horsky Hotel Sliezsky Dom is located in the heart of Tatra Mountains, 1670 metres above the sea level. It offers elegant rooms with mountain views, a flat-screen TV and a minibar. A magical stay surrounded by mountains, forests, a lake and a stream. We enjoyed the view from the window and the spa in every weather. At least 4 different nature trails start from the hotel door and they're all nice. Instead of googling "Tatras best hikes", just start walking in any direction from Velické Pleso and you won't regret it. Generous buffet at breakfast and dinner and delicious food and drinks for lunch. If you read negative reviews about the "tourist restaurant", note that that's the backpackers hut. The hotel restaurant is only available to hotel guests and the lunch options are delicious. We were told you can also ask for packed lunch for the hike, but it wasn't possible because we hadn't ordered it in advance. A free-of-charge spacious private spa by reservation with saunas and a beautiful view. You can send your luggage from their lower parking lot at the Tatranská Polianka railway station by their van and hike to the hotel. You can even leave it in a storage unit for them to pick up, you just need to coordinate in advance.

Accommodation Grand hotel Starý Smokovec is located in Starý Smokovec, 18 km from Štrbské pleso. Guests have access to a common room, paid hotel parking, a terrace and a bar. Impressive building, clean rooms, great spa area with large hot pool and a water bar. pool open for families with kids including at evening. Nice gift of spa cream waited for us in the room. Kind staff

Perfect location - we were looking for central Starý/Novy Smokovec , but wanted to feel like we are in the mountains. Whichever apartment you stay in - you have a view of either Vysoké or Nízke Tatry . Free Parking - huge bonus in Tatras. Cable car to Hrebienok is a 5-7 min walk , there are multiple restaurants and grocery stores . Washing machine available . Very clean , easy check- in and check- out , great communication with host . Good price .

The place is great and nicely located in Nova Leśna from where you can see Tatra Mountains. The apartment is spacious, clean and fully equipped. The Host is really friendly :) Highly recommend this place :)

Everything is highly comfortable. First of all, apartment has feeling as home because it has even small details and things for life. Second - I don’t remember such quite room, soundproof is excellent, but whole area is quite. Third - location is perfect, very green, near mountains. Owners are very nice and welcoming
