Our stay at Casa Papito exceeded our expectations. We found a clean, spacious, quiet, and comfortable room with everything we needed. The kitchen is very well-equipped too. Located at walking distance from Potrero beach, and just minutes from other nearby beaches (the sunset at Penca was stunning). The pool is tempered with easy access and just the right size and depth to relax and have a good time with our son, and to top it up, our hosts; Daniel and Charlotte, made us feel right at home with their warm touch. We also booked a Gyrocopter tour (Daniel is the pilot) overseeing several beaches, recommended if you are looking to experience some adventure as well. We will be coming back as frequently as possible.

Boasting an outdoor swimming pool, Hotel Boutique Lagarta Lodge is set in Nosara and also provides a garden and a terrace. With free WiFi, this 4-star hotel offers a concierge service. It was scenic, and the view was gorgeous. The accommodations were first rate we felt like we were in the jungle, but had five star accommodations

Located a mere 50 metres from Guiones’s main break, in Nosara, Costa Rica, The Sunset Shack features a year-round outdoor pool and guests can also enjoy the on-site restaurant. Sunset Shack was in a great location, close to the beach, short walk to the shops and more restaurants. The room was spacious, comfy beds and amazing shower. The hotel/bungalows are quiet and the Al Chile restaurant joined to the hotel is great. We were able to order and eat by the pool.

Offering a restaurant, Azul Hotel & Retreat is located in the beachfront area of Playa Azul. Free Wi-Fi access is available, as well as free breakfast service. The staff is awesome; very helpful. I loved the property, it was really nice.

Rio Perdido is located just a 45-minute drive from Daniel Oduber International Airport and boasts 18 km of on-site hiking trails and a thermal river with hot-spring pools. This lodge is a treasure. Bungalows of different sizes and facilities are scattered throughout the forest. We stayed in the spacious centre bungalows with large panoramic windows overlooking the forest, a seating area and an outdoor shower. All furnished to a high standard, wonderful bed and bed linen. There is an (empty) fridge and daily small fresh bottles of water and air conditioning. We only met very friendly and helpful people. The whole atmosphere is very relaxed and the location above the gorge, the beautiful architecture and design do the rest. We stayed at the lodge at the beginning of December. At this time of year, the dry forest is full of leaves and particularly beautiful. You should know that this is not the case at the end of the dry season. The food was very good and the selection of dishes offers enough variety even if you are there for several days. From our point of view, the price-performance ratio is also good. The (cold and warm) pools and the thermal river where you can enjoy the warm water in a natural environment are wonderful. There are monkeys but unfortunately few other animals, especially few birds compared to other areas in Costa Rica. However, this is due to the dry forest ecosystem. Due to its proximity to the airport in Liberia, the lodge is a good place to end a trip to Costa Rica.

Borinquen Thermal Resort is located in Rincon de la Vieja. If features Spanish-rustic décor villas, bungalows and Junior Suites, each of them featuring a private balcony with garden views. Beautiful place. Great spa area. It was just what we needed.

My wife and I fell in love and it quickly rose up to be one of our best ever stays. The staff were attentive to our every need and personalized our stay beautifully. The rooms were exceptional and the location is great. Everything worked out great on our first visit to Costa Rica because of Esh Hotel.
