A great place to be alone with nature, while still having all the amenities. Everything is modern and comfortable. The staff is friendly, and they made our stay very enjoyable. We were really happy to stay at this hotel, to feel the connection with nature, and swim in the pool surrounded by trees.

The breakfast was one of the best we had in Sri Lanka. The staff was extremely helpful, they helped us finding how to reach Negombo by calling the railway office and they arranged us a tuk-tuk for the train station.

They attended our every need and taught us so much about the local area. Jeewa’s help in recommending places, organising transport, and tuk tuk rides made the stay perfect and effortless. We saw the best parts of Habarana and were sad to leave after three nights. The room and terrace were exceptionally clean and breakfast and evening meal were freshly prepared and available when suited us. Jeewa taught us the history of Sri Lanka and took time out of his day to speak with us. We wouldn’t hesitate returning and would recommend everyone to experience the 5 star service we did. If we are lucky enough to come back to Sri Lanka we will 100% stay with Jeewa again.

Staying at Sweet Home Tourist Rest turned out to be one of the best decisions we made on our trip to Sri Lanka. It’s rare to find a place that offers both great value and a truly personal touch , but this one does exactly that. Instead of just a room, we had an entire private apartment, including a comfortable living room, which gave us so much space to relax. It was quiet, clean, and located in a peaceful part of town, making it easy to rest and recharge between our adventures. And considering the price, it felt like an absolute steal. What really made this stay unforgettable were the authentic experiences arranged by the hosts. Nilukshan helped us explore some of Sri Lanka’s most iconic sites with thoughtfully organized tours, the Wilpattu safari was stunning, and our visits to Anuradhapura and Mihintale gave us a deep appreciation for the country’s culture and history. Everything was well-timed, smooth, and stress-free. We also had the chance to join a Sri Lankan cooking class with Malsha, which ended up being one of our favorite memories. The class was fun, hands-on, and filled with flavor, we left not just with full stomachs, but with recipes and techniques we can take home with us. If you’re looking for more than just a place to sleep, if you want comfort, authenticity, and connection this is the place. Can’t recommend it highly enough!

The host picked us up from train station when we arrived late from Colombo. We easily discussed anything and he also rented us scooter and booked safari tour for us for reasonable price. The room was nice and breakfast just amazing. Definitely recommend for anyone.

The location was perfect for exploring nearby attractions like Sigiriya and Minneriya National Park. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a unique and tranquil stay in nature. The staff were super friendly at all times. We really loved the food, breakfast has a big variety of dishes and it was delicious! The bungalow is amazing too, a comfortable and beautiful place in the middle of nature with a private pool - we enjoyed a lot! I highly recommend!
