Everything is as described and shown on images. but must see in real. The staff is extremly friendly and helpful, always smiling, happy to see this. The transfer was organized very well. All meals were fantastic, lot of choices, delicious foods from different regions. Every evening there are entertainment programs, good music and great atmosphere. The island is small, but still many places to walk around in max 15 minutes. You can walk to the end of the island for peace and quiet relaxation, but also in front of your villa you can have a very pleasant rest. The beach is beautiful, clean. The rooms are very spacious, thanks for Dushan surprising us daily with new towel folded as crab, swan, raja, etc. and also thanks to Prasad for encouraging guests to play different games and chat with us. We had an unforgettable good experience with this RIU resort.

From the moment we arrived, everything was incredibly well-organized. At the airport, we were greeted immediately and taken to the hotel’s private lounge, where we could freshen up and enjoy some drinks and snacks. Check-in was smooth and done digitally in the airport's lounge. Our beach villa was breathtaking - very private and peaceful, with a garden that opened up to a view of the ocean and the sunset. The villa was spotlessly clean, which we really appreciated. The outdoor shower was a personal highlight, and the bathroom was so spacious it felt like a separate room. The bed was a bit too firm for me during the first nights, but as soon as I mentioned it, I was provided with a topper - after that, it was perfect. The room itself was quiet and relaxing; only the air conditioning made some noise, but it could easily be turned off. Sunrise side is generally better for snorkeling and tends to have calmer weather and waters overall. It’s ideal if you want to spend time exploring the reef. Sunset side offers stunning views each evening. While the sea can sometimes be livelier on this side, on calm days it's wonderful for swimming in the beautiful lagoon. Service throughout our stay was outstanding. Our room boy MD Sohel surprised us with beautiful palm leaf decorations on the bed. At the restaurants, we felt truly pampered by the staff - especially Vijay, Muna, Abhi, and Matey. The best salad we had came from Namal! Our ambassador Sharyaan also took good care of us during our stay. The buffet offered an overwhelming amount of choices, including vegetarian options, and dishes were always refilled quickly if anything ran out. We especially recommend the Grouper Grill (á la carte) restaurant - the food there was absolutely delicious. Everything, including our departure, was perfectly organized. We would return here without hesitation and recommend this place to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing escape.

Sun Siyam Vilu reef offers a relaxing beachside experience with its spacious villas, an outdoor pool and an on-site diving centre. A gym and 2 restaurants are also available. Everything, pure paradise, our 3rd visit and look forward to going again and again. Very welcoming, amazing island with amazing staff. Reema our host, Methi looked after our room spotless every time, Shattu and Ula for the amazing water sports and excursions, Sudeera for looking after us at the restaurants, Chef Nittin for the food along with all the chefs who always make sure all is well with our food, Didi for always checking all is well and to everyone involved as a great team. The best part of the hotell (apart from the obvious great surroundings) was the staff. A special thanks to Appa, Nisanka and the rest of the staff for an amazing stay and made us and our daughter feel very special. Good food and great value for money!

A beachfront property, Angsana Velavaru offers 3 restaurants with water villas and private pools on Velavaru Island (Turtle Island). It is a 45-minute Seaplane ride from Malé International Airport. It was our first time traveling to Maldives, so cannot compare this hotel to others, but the whole experience was terrific! If you stay in one of the In-Ocean rooms, you are basically staying in the middle of an enormous exotic aquarium. Any time you desire, you just jump into the water and see all kinds of marine life, including turtles, stingrays, baby sharks, octopuses, and all kinds of fish! We even watched a group of dolphins swim around the reef. The room we stayed in was huge, which made us feel like we could stay in the room our entire trip without feeling the need to go out. The staff was great, but we stayed here during Ramadan, which was extra tough on them, having to fast. Also, there is a baseline difference between hospitality in the US and Maldives; having said that I think they did a decent job. The food options were good, but not particularly memorable.
