I liked that it was a boutique hotel and that the staff was very attentive. The hotel has 2 pools, a normal one and another one that was a cave before. Because it is a small hotel we actually had the pools for ourselves when we wanted to use them which increase privacy and the holiday feeling.

Destino Mío Mayan Jungle Retreat dispone de piscina al aire libre, jardín, salón de uso común y terraza en Tekit. El alojamiento tiene un bar y un restaurante que sirve cocina mexicana. A spectacular property in the forests with: - gardens that are manicured just at the right level - its own cenotes (you can swim in one semi-open one, not sure about the other ones) - its own cave that you can visit with a (Spanish) guide - a mirador just like in the pictures (only open in the morning and evening, but I'm sure if you asked you could go up during the day) - a bonfire place near the tents - a spa for massages Everything is beautifully designed and so well thought through. A few notes: - When we were there in July, the place was very quiet, which added to the magic. - In my head, I had expected more jungle (could have probably known better with more research). The "jungle retreat" was less jungl-y than a number of places we had come from between Valladolid and Celestun. No howler monkeys, no big snakes, etc. (I don't think) However, we did see a grey fox (!), iguanas and lots of beautiful birds and butterflies. - Because I wanted a full jungle immersion experience, I had booked a tent - they have a lot of "windows" and I thought you would be closer to nature than in a concrete house. However, since we visited in July with 36° C and high humidity, we decided to move to a suite (with AC; the tents have fans only of course). They were absolutely gorgeous (a shower open to the sky! a whirpool! a daybed! two hammocks!) and because there weren't very loud jungle noises at night anyway, I don't think we actually missed out. - The restaurant was great. You can probably drive to Tekit (we didn't), but I'm not sure there are many decent alternative food options there, so you might be a bit limited. - We brought many bottles of water. Turns out this was unnecessary - you get water everywhere. - Communication works via WhatsApp; they were very responsive and helpful. - The staff happily drove elderly people around in buggies. - This is a place to go to for pure relaxation. - The Internet was no problem at all.

The Hotel: A beautiful property with stunning original architecture and decorative details—truly candy for the eyes! The magnificent traveler’s palm trees in the courtyard were absolutely striking. Room: Very comfortable overall. Good a king-size bed, a spacious bathroom with enough amenities. Quietness: Despite being on a busy street, the inside of the hotel felt completely insulated from the noise of traffic. Room is very quite ( without the AC on) Location: Quite good. While the street itself isn’t particularly interesting, the hotel is just a 10-minute walk from the city center. The walk is safe, even at night. Parking: A paid private parking lot was available at another property right next door , and the cost was quite reasonable.

Este hotel boutique de estilo colonial está situado a 800 metros de la catedral de Mérida y ofrece una piscina al aire libre, un spa y un elegante bar. The hotel is as beautiful as the pictures, maybe more so. Our best pictures from our time in Merida were of the interior of this hotel. Staff was really friendly and eager to help and to educate us. The area around the hotel is walkable, though right in front the sidewalk is very narrow. There are many restaurants and bars and shops near by.

Esta hacienda del siglo XVIII se ha convertido en un pequeño hotel de lujo con piscina al aire libre y spa. Se encuentra a solo 2 minutos en coche de la carretera federal mexicana 281. Todo perfecto. Nos gustó mucho la habitación. El personal del hotel es muy amable y atento.

Hotel Mundo Maya Chichén Itzá está en Chichén Itzá, a 4,4 km de Chichén Itzá, y dispone de alojamiento con piscina al aire libre, parking privado gratis, centro de fitness y jardín. I liked all of the accommodation services, the location, the rooms, the restaurant food and the facility overall. we also felt very secured with the National Guard/army patrolling the place day and night. As soon as we got of the Mayan Train from Cancun an officer offered his guidance and walked us to the exit where the courtesy Shuttle from the hotel picked us up and dropped us at the hotel doors. This has been one of the best hotels I have experienced in Mexico and to top everything even the prices were low for the quality of services and place. Me and my wife felt like in a second Honey Moon we even extended our stay for a couple of nights. I strongly recommend the Tren Maya and their Hotels to all of my friends and relatives. We already have plans to go back with our children and grandchildren ASAP ! Claim your share of the good life in the jungle near the Chiche Itza Pyramids and all of the great nature in Cancun and Yucatan in Mexico.
