My recent stay at this place was absolutely exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the serene and peaceful atmosphere. The hotel's location is truly idyllic, offering a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The staff were incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Every request was met with a smile and prompt, efficient service. My room was spacious and beautifully appointed, featuring a comfortable layout that made it feel truly inviting. The cleanliness of the room was impeccable, adding to the overall sense of comfort and relaxation. The breakfast buffet was a highlight, offering a diverse selection of delicious options to suit every palate. From fresh pastries and fruits to savory dishes, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Overall, my stay was perfect in every way. Hotel was perfectly located from Olten Bahnhof and I was surprised with an upgrade to a larger room facing the station - so this rail enthusiast was in heaven. Olten is a small town but has a busy junction linking nearly all Swiss major cities - so the variety of train moments is staggering. I don't think I ever saw an empty platform. The room was spacious with a maasive bathroom and a balcony with a chair completed the perfect space. I only wish I had longer to stay.

The Hotel Ambassador is a beautiful individual hotel and is ideally located on a quiet district street between the train station and the traffic-free old town. The hotel is perfect. It’s charming, clean and in a fabulous location between the Solothurn train station and the bridge into the Old Town. We booked two rooms for New Year’s Eve (a single for my teenaged niece) and it was the best value for money. The staff are super friendly and helpful (they made some modifications to our reservations and Daniela was super sweet at checkin and when we got cappuccinos, hot chocolate and croissants after breakfast had officially closed. They have a fabulous coffee machine available to guests next to the gorgeous area to drink and relax. Decor is very pretty! The beds are comfortable, linens are soft, and the rooms are very quiet. Super clean with great hot water and water pressure in the showers. Rooms accessible by elevator, so I will be bringing my older mom here, too. Now my favorite hotel in Solothurn (and my husband is from Solothurn and we’ve stayed in many hotels here). There is also an apartment where you can book individual rooms with shared kitchen and bathroom at great prices on this site. Highly recommended and can’t wait to return.
