We loved everything about this cabin. We were in the Turquoise cabin. The location was the perfect base for exploring the Golden Circle and the neighbouring Selfoss. It was also convenient to Keflavik Airport as well as Reykjavik. In the town, there are restaurants, cafes, bars, grocery shops and petrol stations if you just want to hang about the village. We walked to the brewery our first night - everything’s within a 10-15 minute walk. There’s also some hiking and thermal springs close by (we didn’t get to dip in the springs because we ran out of daylight). On to the property - it was like being home and living near a friendly neighbour. It felt very private and the cabin was very warm in freezing temperatures. (once we identified the one window that was left on breathe!) There was everything we needed for cooking/eating and the coffee machine was a bonus. There’s no cable TV, but that was perfectly fine - we just cosied up to some Netflix movies at the end of the day (when we weren’t in the sauna or hot tub). The bathroom was spacious and clean and soap, etc. was available, which was unexpected and handy. The bedroom was comfortable for the both of us. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we sleep like babies the entire stay. Our favourite parts of our stay were the sauna and hot tub. We enjoyed a couple of sauna sessions during our stay and spent a few nights in the hot tub. On our last night, we were slightly bummed that we didn’t see the northern lights and around the time we were thinking to get out, they appeared and put on the most beautiful show. We didn’t have our cameras, but it’s a memory that will live with us for a long time. Last, but not least, the hosts were incredible and friendly and available when we needed them. They were also very communicative before and during our stay. We’ve been considering a second trip when the weather improves, and if we’re down that way, we Weill certainly stay in the Backyard Village again.

Hólar countryside cabin 1 si trova a Selfoss. Situata a 39 km da Ljósafoss, la struttura propone una terrazza e il parcheggio privato gratuito. Everything about this place was perfect! So cozy and after a long day of sight seeing with our son it was such a relief to arrive here. My only regret is not staying longer.

Con vista sulla montagna, Gljásteinn by Golden Circle propone un alloggio dotato di terrazza e patio, a circa 33 km da Geysir. Close to silfra fissure, geysir and gulfoss. Good location to see aurora, just need to step outside the house! Warm and cozy. Fireplace was bonus.

Con vista sulla montagna, Aurora Cottage on the Golden Circle propone un alloggio con balcone e macchina da caffè, a circa 47 km da Parco Nazionale Þingvellir. The cabin was so cozy and it has everything that you need. It was very accessible but still far enough from the city buzz.

Ubicato a Vík nella regione Islanda Meridionale, l’alloggio Black Beach Farm offre un patio e la vista sul mare. We absolutely loved this accommodation. The view was amazing and watching it change with the weather was fascinating. Quiet, serene, walkable distance (30 min) to Reynisfjara beach. The guest house was cozy, clean and well set up for a family of 4. We loved it.

EYVÍK Cottages - Private HOT TUB! si trova a Selfoss, nella regione Islanda Meridionale, a 45 km da Geysir. Everything was wonderful. We had a very comfortable 3 night stay. The cottage and the hot tub were very clean and the kitchen was well equiped with everything we needed. The location was convenient to all the sights in the area. The shower was nice and hot and the bed was comfortable. We definitely recommend staying here.
