Staff were very friendly, hotel was close to Cromwell village, balcony was lovely to sit outside in the evening, breakfast at the restaurant adjoining the hotel was very nice and reasonably priced.

A well appointed apartment which was very warm on a cool day. It was spacious and well laid out with walk in wardrobe and a large bathroom with both a bath and shower. The location was quiet with a great view and convenient parking. There was an on site restaurant and it was only 5km to town.

Very secluded getaway location pretty much designed specifically for wine makers because there wineries for Africa there, but the town lacks in offering much else as a reason to go there unless you’re into tramping (the surrounding areas are tailor made for it) - very little tourist attractions offered in the township compared to nearby Wanaka which punches well above its weight.Daniel - 10Scored 10

It had been 12 years since we last visited Cromwell.
It had been 12 years since we last visited Cromwell. Not surprisingly it had grown and changed significantly - and for the better. The town has a pleasant ambience about it and the people appear very relaxed. Everything one wants is there and there is a comprehensive range of retail and hospitality. Loved Cromwell. So central to everything. We enjoyed wandering around the old town. We were treated so nicely by the people at Five Stags. Always greeted us with a friendly smile and really enjoyed the food.

It is a friendly, well-kept town with fabulous scenery. Very close to Arrowtown and Queenstown without the traffic hassles (especially of Qtown). It has a reasonable number of shops, enough restaurants and pubs. we didn't have kids but there seemed to be plenty of places for them to run around and play. it felt safe and inviting.Louise - 10Scored 10

Great accommodation that was not expensive but very homely and a central location to see and visit the rest of Central Otago. Dined at the Town and Country Club , Carrick Winery, barbequed at our unit.

The breakfasts were amazing and the hosts were aware of my gluten free needs and provided delicious alternatives. We enjoyed chatting with the friendly hosts and the other guests (there are 2 bnb rooms) at breakfast served in the dining room overlooking the lake. We also appreciated the welcome snack basket which included gf. Location handy to Cromwell and not too far from Wanaka and Arrowtown.
